Introduction of Taiwan Agricultural Mechanization Research and Development Center

Purpose of establishment:

Taiwan Agricultural Mechanization Research and Development Center (TAMRDC) was founded in 1984. The purpose of TAMRDC is to promote the research and development of Taiwan's agricultural mechanization by integrating government agencies, public institutions, academia, agricultural machinery industry, farmers' groups and farmers.

Scope of business:

1. To collect domestic and international information and publish books, magazines, newsletters and publications in the field of agricultural machinery and biomechatronics.
2. To manage and provide guidance on research and development of agricultural machinery.
3. To counsel agricultural machinery industry on modern operations and management
4. To undertake agricultural machinery cooperation projects with domestic and international institutions.
5. To conduct agricultural machinery seminars, lectures and training.
6. To execute the entrustment of relevant government agencies or companies to conduct agricultural machinery performance tests, investigations, verifications, research and consulting services.
7. To assist or accept the entrustment to handle work related to agricultural mechanization.
8. To reward agricultural machinery research and invention, and to assist in handling agricultural machinery patent matters.
9. To reward those who have contributed to agricultural mechanization.
